I have been training Working Service for many years and because of the methods and philosophy of my work, have brought controversy and questions into the K-9 world. That is a good thing. At no time has the work and training methods of what we do been proven so truthful and correct as on the requirements made on teams after Sept. the 11th.
There is upon the coming together of so many hands on people, no room for even discussion anymore.
The line not only between what is known as sport training but those handlers has not only been drawn but etched in stone. It has been proven and the results of the test done in fire and paid for in human life.
For all of those that truly seek to know the truth and to prepare for what is ahead, there will soon be a forum.
For too long people who have little or no knowledge have been in positions upon which others depend on their knowledge. They too have been tested and found wanting. That however is not the issue. The real mission is not to be caught up in foolishness,but to train and prepare in a time when it is so important.
For those who know it is simply our job, our responsibility and our obligation. Let us all both learn and teach and let us do so with the integrity that the Working Service K-9 training deserves.
