When we are on training field and we run into something that is stress, it is given to the handlers so we can then take it apart as a training exercise. On the field we can then go through as a training exercise and you can look over your shoulder at one of the instructors and we can tell you and reaffirm not to let it bother you.
But it is your attitude and your character that is going with you and your dog onto the street.
You will have natural stresses come on because of other people's attitudes and characteristics. What you will have to do is take what is real and what is consistent and apply it.
If you were told to take some paint ball guns out and you were shown paintballs that would not fit in your gun and said you were to use these balls. You would answer that that is ridiculous because those balls would not work in that gun.
No matter how many times you were asked you could not get into a paintball fight because your paintball would not work.
This would be a visual example that you could see.
There are a lot of things you cannot see.
The dog can see your character.
