This site is dedicated to the dogs and handlers who so bravely and selflessly served their countries.
May the memory of their valour never fade but live on.
You will find no Schutzund or Sporting terminology here. For it has no place in the working world of the K-9. After decades of ineffective techniques and problems in both the military and law enforcement, it is time for change. These problems have caused unsuccessful tracking, apprehension handling and improper training attitudes.
This site will be efficient, effective and most importantly honest and real in its boldness.
We have long ago realized we work as we train.
Think about that the next time you reach for your ball or food reward.
You will also find a no holds barred approach here. If you are offended rather than affected by the truth you won't belong here.

Working Service Dogs have long been used for work as guard dogs, for military use and law enforcement. Today they are still used for the above and widely used as 24-hour security for family and home.
Working Service Dogs should be tested and bred for their working ability in situations that accurately duplicate the variety of possible real life encounters, obstacles and stressful factors that the dog and handler might face in the course of their life together.
Working Service Dogs should be willing and able to track and protect a lost child or to
apprehend and contain a hostile fugitive.Whether it be to guard, hunt or herd, dogs were meant to work.
Rain, snow, fire and other types of obstacles can be faced and overcome willingly and faithfully.

There is no deeper bond than that between a working service dog and its handler.
We do not ask anything from the dog which they are not capable of. They have far more capabilities than most humans can imagine. These are a dogs natural abilities, searching, tracking, obstacle work and so on.
We do not use a clicker or ball, towel tug or food, for any of our training, whether it be
scent detection, tracking or obedience. I have always found "props" to replace communication, wanting in the
working world.
In Working Service training, we use applied stress and positive reinforcement.
The handler and dog is one unit at Baden, making use of the natural man-dog bond.
Having a working relationship with your dog will deeply increase that bond.
It is sometimes difficult to see until you apply it. Then it speaks for itself. It either fails or succeeds. The truth stands on its own merit.
If the human counterpart is deserving, Working Service Dogs are very loyal. Genetics plays a major factor in a dog's capability as does the training and the mental attitude of the handler.
It has always been our policy
to breed for stability and workability. It is for this reason we work what we breed
and breed what we work.
Just a few of the articles we are working on are:
** proper training
** choosing the correct breed
** prong collars
** proper agitation
** the rewards of a well trained dog
and more!
